Hey guys, I'm heading to London tomorrow evening(Wed) with my wife and another couple, and I was wondering how far you guys are from the city. I will be there until Saturday, so if you're close enough, maybe we could throw one back or something... Let me know! :wink:

He he. We may be a small country but we couldn't be further away. I'm over 150 miles away across the other side of the country in Wales and Jagsy is probably a bit further, up North near Newcastle so a few jars are not on the menu which is a shame.

Still, Jack, enjoy London, it's a great city. Here are a few Cockney things to say:

"Alright there me old cock sparrer" Hello there, my fine fellow
"Gor blimey, that's a nice whistle and flute" Cripes, jolly nice suit
"I'll just run up the old apple and pears" I'm going upstairs
"My plates of meat are killin' me, guvnor" My feet hurt
"Give us a tune on the old Joanna" Play the piano
"Gor, he's a bit of a geezer innee?" He appears a chappie of ill
repute
"A plate of jellied eels please" I want to throw up

Remember to order lager and not "a beer" or you'll get some old slosh masquerading as beer that tastes flat and horrible.

Take no notice of the beer thing - just order some real ale yum yum yum.

Newcastle is only 4.5 hours from London, but well worth a trip just for a PARTY night he he.

Man is that place expensive... It's like $10 for a meal at any fast food joint, so I just ate at pubs and stuff... Great food, and a really great place, but not somewhere I'd make a habit of going to.. :shock:
