Post subject:  Finally back ...

After a rather unexpected early morning trip on mondy @ 0400 to the emergency ward of the local hospital followed by an operation that same morning, followed again by three agonizing days without internet or outside communication (well, apart from a customer call :)), I'm back home now ... alive and kicking. Well, maybe not kicking yet, but ... guess next time I need to make sure I pack my stupid laptop ;)

Well, just had some stomach pain from 0000, couldn't get it to go away until 0330, so I decided to have it checked ... gall bladder infected and couple dozens of small stones ... luckily, they don't cut open the stomach anymore, just three small incissions ... (guess it's like changing the spark plugs through your glove box ;)) (ouch, can't laugh yet ;))

No tellin', the blood tests they did didn't even show the gall bladder infection, all the values were fine AFAIK ...

Well, he had his fun - was at the dog school and had a good time with his dog friends there ... but going crazy when I picked him up (of course) ...

Oh well ... it's over with now, I recon the nice li'le holes I got all over my stomach should be healed in another week or two ... just don't think I will be doing any Karts on Dec 6 or whenever that was planned ;) (at least I can't imagine that right now)

Holes I can deal with, but they don't usually have people digging around in their intestinals once the holes are there :D
Hey, I'm not whining ... after all, I was back home less than three days after the operation ... (would have gone home yesterday if I had been allowed to)

Btw, checked up on the topic ...
Some facts about gall stones:
    - women get them 2 to 3 times more often than men
    - 10-15% of all people have them
    - 75% of all people that have stones never know they do
    - probability increases with age
    - using any method of taking care of the stones other than removal of the gall bladder has a high probability of re-occurance within 5 years

Why don't I ever have that luck with low probabilities when playing lottery and the likes? :(
