Post subject:  New Virus ...

Folks, we're currently seeing a wave of virus/worm mails ... they come disguised as error messages with subjects like "Mail Delivery System", "Mail Transaction Failed", "Server Report", "Status" or "Error". The message states that the contents can't be viewed, but you should open the attachment instead ... don't!
Our central virus scanner has logged almost as many hits already as it had last July with one of the Sobig viri ...

Here's what our central virus scanner removed over the last week ...

In my company I had today until 4:00 nearly 600 viri that were killed when trying to come into my network.

Don´t imagine, how much money this attack will cost the economy worldwide :x :x

... and then consultants talk about how the TCO of Windows systems are lower than Unix/Linux ... yeah, right, if you buy it and never install or use it ... but if you try to do work with it ...
