IMHO, the Vette rim spokes are a little too "square" - at least the pic looks like they are ... the second seem to be a bit more rounded ... just my $.02 ... Anyway, I'd definitely go with chrome ... if the extra set of wheels I got, which are the original GM Chrome wheels, were wider, I'd be driving them instead of the ones I have on ... |

It is your car. If you want to be subtle go with painted if you want to be loud go with the chrome. But you could put a Cam in the car for the diffrence I would go with the wheels and cam. Bang for the buck is the golden rule |

This is insurance repair remember. I have a budget to spend on them and if I save I do not really keep it all to myself. However I will get some at the end. I like all the rims and price has nothing to do with them. I just can not decide. |

Not knowing what choice #4 looks like, and from the pics, I'd go with #2 first, then #1 ... |

Gotta go with the #2... I think the chrome will show off the Pewter better. Just an opinion. Good luck with the decision. RT1 |

MM 11-2 looks like a cobra R wheel. I'm not saying its bad, but it looks very cobra. Go with the Y2K, factory looks better IMO |

C5 vette chrome all the way ! Gentlemen, keep in mind that a rim is more than just looks, wide tires and finish. Quality is also an issue and you will NOT be the first one to go with unknown cheap alloy rims only to have them slightly bend after the very first pothole and have a serious imbalance. I have not heard a single store about the c5 and replica rims, however i did hear bad stories about the Eagle 077 rim that is too damn weak, this could also be the case for the 'unknown' rims. Also the C5 seems to have the 'thinnest' spoking and that makes the rim look big ! You really can NEVER have a rim that is too big on the Fbody due to the Gigantic fenderwells so the picture of the 'fat' rims (one before last) would make it seem as if you were sporting 16" rims. But George, why don't you have your wife photoshop all the rims on a picture of your car and then you decide ???? That was the very first thing i did before i decided to get the rims i have now. Garry, why wouldn't you fit the chrome ones instead of the ones you have right now ???? The tires might be less width but i think it would look better as your current set is sticking too much out of the fender wells due to an incorrect offset, plus the V6 needs all the help it can get and wider tires ONLY slow it down. Just my 2 cents. Think about it. Wider is not always better. |

I drove the small tires a couple times - I had the feeling the car drove even more instable than with the 235/255's (which should get better once I get the BMR parts ![]() ![]() |

Wider tires will only make the car drive more unstable. The wider the tire is the more it starts searching the 'grooves' in the road and they are harder to balance the wider they get. I think the tires on the 16" set is that usual crappy Good Year GA set which is a piece of crap. If you get yourself a set of Firestone 245/50/ZR16 Firehawk SZ-50 tires you should be set. As for the extra inch offset, this would allow you to get rid of that black rubber fender thing upfront and it would compliment that car even more. Not trying to put you down but just sharing my honest opinion. |

As I said - the other wheels seemed to make the car more instable (the car as such, not the reaction to "grooves") - but another thing - even the Beamer with its 225's reacts worse than the 235/255 combo on the Camaro ... The other wheels are only 215's ... |

Gary drop it 2" it will fill up the fender wall. George try polished aluminum forgeline big light and NASTY, But expensive I had them on my old car 335-35-17 they filled up the fender. looked totally sick. My .02cents. bottom line I would get what you want. |

Well after long debating I tried to order the Milans. Well to my dismay they were totally out of stock and it would be atleast 10 days untill they got 2 rims in. So I purchased the 2000 vette rims. I purchased them in 17x9.5" polished. I did not go 18" due to the possibility of having to roll fenders. |
