Driving to Kapaun today in the Golf I get flagged down by a German guy in an Audi. He points at my rear wheels and says that the left rear is wobbling. I noticed the car had starting to make a hell of a racket and intended to put it on the rack when I got it to the shop anyway. A quick look along the road doesn't prove anything but I figured it might be the wheel bearings. So I drive it painfully slow the rest of the way to the shop.
I put it on the alignment rack and holy crap  ! All the lugs were loose. I've been driving this car for almost 3 years and have never taken the rear wheels off and all of a sudden the lugs come loose? I suspect I have some punks cruisin' the hood thinking it would be funny to loosen some lugs...
Good thing the wheel didn't come off during the 140K run from Kindsbach to E-Hof  I'd have never gotten the crank in the Z's block today...

That sucks ... guess you may want to start checking the car for a while ... :(
