how come we still have snow and cold weather outside? I could drive the 'maro again from tomorrow ... but somehow I don't want to drive it on snow and salted roads ... :( :hammer:

Amen Bro. I would love to get Carla out for a drive, but not on the snow and salt. Hopefully it won't last too much longer. I need some heat!!!

Hm ... so the wish list would look something like this:

- end of snow
- a couple days of heavy rain to clear the salt residue
- 70s and dry after that ;)

OK, that's the wish list for March ... would be a nice start ;)

Can you say 235/255 summer tires with very low tread on snow? No, thank you ...

I know...I took it very carefully, there is just no way power at the back end with big tyres is going to move.

Still good fun though!!!

Garry, 70s? How about 90 with about 85% humidity?

That way, I could FINALLY ride with the tops down! Still have yet to do that in my 96!

Hey, that's just the wish list for March ... 90s in March would mean 120 or so in the summer ... just a bit too much ... (btw, seen some convertibles around with the top down just the last couple days before the snow came back ...)

It snowed again the past couple of days here, too. The poor car's all wrapped up, lonely, and jealous of my truck because it's getting all my attention. Sad thing is, it's only the end of Feb.... so we'll probably get a few more good snows. Oh well, more mud to play in with the truck!

Jagsy, I'm sure you know, but salt can really mess things up man. It will eat right through aluminum, and if you have chrome or anything ceramic coated, it will eat throught that too. To truly be safe from it, you'd really have to get under your car, and clean every nook and cranny after you drove in it.. Trust me, I had to learn the hard way. :(

Thanks Jack, trouble is she's an every day car.... I try my best to keep it clean, but I'll have to live with some Sh1t.

That said, the whole body is galvanized as most of the Aussies live on the coast - salty air.

Damn it still snowing there? That sucks. It's payback for this past summer we had. I knew it was gonna come and bit us in the rear one day. Hopefully spring/summer will be kind to us and not give us a lot of rain like my 1st yr hear.

I'm lovin the Turkis weather right now. :D

Jagsy, unfortunately, my Z was an all year car, too. Luckily, my wife decided she needed a different car, so I kept the Beetle to drive in the Winter. I messed up one of my wheels really bad, and the $1000 ceramic coated headers are pretty ugly now, too. :(
