Since I'll be leaving for BCT in april I'm trying to find out about military car insurances. I allready checked out a few insurance companies on the web but so far with no real success.
How would a SS compare with a C5 insurance wise ? Any idea on what kind of figure I would be looking at ?
Thanks a lot
Alex

I would recommend USAA. I have been very happy with them over the years. I've been using them for over 30 years and have been very satisfied.

I really like USAA as well. However, if you have a claim that is less than 3 grand, I would not even bother claiming it. They took care of me and my car really well and quickly. However, the insurance policy doubled. So basically, they gave me a mafia style loan with interest from hell  Maybe all insurance companies do this, I really don't know to be honest. This was my first claim ever, and I learned a valuable lesson from it. Just my .02 cents.

Let me rephrase that, insurance for a C5 won't be cheap.
The car being a SS shouldn't raise the cost of insurance any higher than a Z28 unless the newer SS's have the SS option listed in the VIN. It wasn't in '96...
Shop around, Atlantic Trust had some decent rates a while back, trying to get some more customers or something...

Amen... I have USAA too, and they took care of me like no other when the SS got wrecked. I HIGHLY suggest going with them!
