Well after waiting 4 yrs it looks like my friend is finally making his way over this side of the pond! He's the guy that got me hooked on this whole fbody thing to begin w/ as far as modding goes. He had a 94 w/ a hotcam, headers, gears, and some serious heads. He'd run constant 11.6 in the thing. Wildest car I'd ever rode in at the time for modern technology. I got hooked needless to say. :D

He owns a 02 SS now and he wants to ship it private. Any good companies out here that I can refer him to?

E. F. Harms. They do most of the new car shipping both directions. They delivered my car and I was very impressed with them.

KC10A is right EFHarms, I believe that is the same company that shipped my wife's truck. $1500 from front door in atlanta to Bermerhaven 3 weeks total time from pick up to drop off. When they came to pick up the truck they put it on a car trailer and towed it to FL and put it on the boat. Not bad in my opinion. Truck was EXACTLY as it was when picked up.

http://www.worldwide-ship.com quoted me about $1,000 from Bremerhaven to Charleston SC. (add 275 for pick up in Wurzburg.) They have ships leaving every week and it takes about two weeks to get across. I also got a quote of about $3,500 for a container large enough for the Camaro, my '57 Pick up and whatever other parts/tools/junk that I can fit in it. That was from port to port though. Something to think about.
Sucks being a Caraholic and not wanting to sell.

It's not like it used to be, back in 91 when I brought a brand new GMC Z71 they trashed it BAD!! I shipped back a 92 Firebird with 22,000 on the speedo, they smoked the clutch in it and put close to 100 miles on it. This time I shipped my 01 over, got here in PERFECT shape and had 4 miles on it.....but I'm sending it home privately this time.

Well, I've been on numerous missions to the port of Bremerhaven, and I've seen, FIRST HAND, the way they treat the majority of cars coming through there. It is pathetic at best. :x
