Just back from the car shop ... tried to get the summer wheels balanced, as I had problems once the car (MR2) hit 75 or so ... rear wheels were fine, but the front ... I don't know what the guy did with the car, but both front wheels look like he hit a sledge hammer against them ... couldn't see it when on the car, but they had to stop the balancing machine ... (well, did run it once, and it wanted at least 50grams of lead ... so now it's either buy another two of the same wheels (at ~300€ a piece!), which means nice wheels in front and POS scratched ones in the rear, or a set of four new ones at about the same price, just not AZEV ... great ... could kick myself for not checking earlier - but as the tires were almost brand new, I didn't think to check the wheels to closely ... :(

Definitely not going to put them back on in front ... if I were only doing city driving, not much should happen, but with autobahn driving, I wouldn't want to risk them dissolving at 100 ... guess I'm going to order a set of four new ones tomorrow ... just hope that the front tires hadn't been damaged internally ... would hate to replace two tires that haven't had more than maybe 5000mi on them ...
