Just back from the car shop ... tried to get the summer wheels balanced, as I had problems once the car (MR2) hit 75 or so ... rear wheels were fine, but the front ... I don't know what the guy did with the car, but
both front wheels look like he hit a sledge hammer against them ... couldn't see it when on the car, but they had to stop the balancing machine ... (well, did run it once, and it wanted at least 50grams of lead ... so now it's either buy another two of the same wheels (at ~300€ a piece!), which means nice wheels in front and POS scratched ones in the rear, or a set of four new ones at about the same price, just not AZEV ... great ... could kick myself for not checking earlier - but as the tires were almost brand new, I didn't think to check the wheels to closely ...
