I know, we for get about our podnas that could not make it. Well all weekend I was a side liner looking at all the cars going by wishing that I was running. Well Bruce put up a good fight but a bug handed him his a$$. The final race for super street was very close, like 30 thousands of a second to the bug. Bruce gave it a hell of a try. I will let the rest post their times. Over all there was a good turn out from the F-Body group. The Rustangs were there but didn't want to play. Jerry and I think Ben came away with some with some prizes. All in all it was a very good weekend and a very good turn out.

well, 13.60 was my fastest time, alright for a stock LS1. I want to post some pictures of the cars that were out there but im trying to figure out how to do it. There wasnt as much mustang vs f-body races as I would have liked but I still layed the smackdown on a MACh 1 and a GT.

Well from their site they seem to have laid the smack down on us. And also saying no one really from FBE wanted to run. I KNOW that's not true by any means.

How many from FBE showed up? MM had some 20 cars it looked like from their pics. None of them broke in the mid 12's and these were the boosted cars w/ ET streets or slicks. MPH at best was 111.
I thought those MACH's would be in the low 13's at best but from what I gather alot of those guys were 1st timers so I know how that goes.

I came pretty close to my previous best run with a 16.104 ... did that while there was still not enough rubber down, spinning pretty bad at the launch ...

Had some fun doing AutoX first time with my 'maro after a long time, and first time with the suspension upgrades --- car felt a whole lot better, though I recon I still need some more confidence in the handling ... I don't know what the fastest cars ran on the course, but the numbers I saw (some dutch or polish(?) Opels with bad @ss motors and caring sh@t about their cars) were only a few seconds quicker ... the course had a tight turn at one place where you'd have to either stop an F-Body to get around, or powerslide through using the e-brake ... I did on my last run, and shaved a good 2 seconds of my time ... dunno how many 100s of km I killed on my tires ;)

I dont know, I asked 3 guys to race with mustangs and they just didnt want to do it. As far as the mach 1 driver being a rookie, not true. I know him, were in the same company and ask him yourself, I won fair and square. We raced twice and the second race he had a good jump on me but I still got him.

Ben took first in Public and I took third. I would have to miss 4th in the semifinal round when I was ahead. Oh well, that's how it goes. Some times you do good and sometimes not so good. I got beat fair and square. Only three Mustangs entered the brackets in Public and two of them went out in the first round. The only one that won was against another Mustang. He went out in the second round. Of the three cars left at the end, there were two FBodies and a Corvette. Chevys rule again. All of the mustangs were parked together and they would pull out in pairs to race each other. Didn't seem to want to play. Oh well, maybe another day.

I finally got my car in the 14's. Seems kinda stupid to make a big deal about that. But, I'll keep knocking it down. Still need to work on my launch.

Bruce should've charged admission for all the people looking at his car

Bruce clocked 11.6 @ 124 on NA and 11.3 on the giggle w/ it being shut off at the 1/8th. Sad he had problems w/ it all day. 11.6 is smokin. That's a 10 sec car back in the states in the NC area no question. He said he's gonna shoot for 10's at the next event. Makes me wish I had a rear and some slicks just to see how deep in the 11's I can get. Oh well.........

I think one of the most interesting cars of the weekend was once again the old VW bus with the Porsche (?) engine. It's just cool to see that VW bus beat an M3 for example... 8)

That is BS I was willining to race everybody Bottom line when they seen the air under the front tires they did not want to play. I woulda got 10's but nitrous would not stay powered up for a run. gotta be a short in the wire from the brain box to the 02 sensor. Beleive me They all had excuses except for a new cobra that got 1/2 tracked. Garry go ahead and post the # I am sure it is temporary. Pretty sure my car posted the fastest time at the event.

Easy now Bruce! Take a deep breath and relax. We all know that the Rustang group are a bunch of pu$$ies. They showed how competitive they can be(yeh right). I would have liked to see more f-body vs. stang runs, but they were not wanting to play. Maybe next time, they may get pissed at what I said and want to put up. I will be running next event. Ordered a tranny yesterday. Bruce watch out, I will be on your bumper. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. As you remember at the past race the wife gave me a blank check!

I am gald that it was a good turn out. I was one of those on lookers wishing that my car was running. I did do a little bit of maintenance on some of the cars that were broke or wanting some assistance. I was glad to provide a service since I was not racing.

For what it's worth, the circles I'm connected to say you guys pretty much handed the Mustang crowd their @$$ at Bit. Good job, just sorry I missed it.
