At last. Finally found me the Z06 I wanted to go with the Camaro. It's an 02 model with all the good bits. Not a redone like I wanted but an electron blue one with chromed wheels and black interior and only 3500 miles on the clock. The deal is done and I just have to wait for it to be shipped to the UK so the taxman can rape me for every cent he can get. Still, it should be worth it.

BTW, I'm relying on someone in the US who is doing the deal for me and so far, I'm the only one who hasn't seen even a photo of it.

Now got a shipping date. it will be leaving baltimore on the 25th May hopefully so I'd better get my azz in gear and order the UK bits I need for the UK conversion which are basically the rear Euro light conversion (got that), side repeaters, rear fog lamp and switch and converting the front lamps to white sidelights.

Side repeaters??? Are they additional marker lights? If so, does that mean you have to drill holes? If so, can you just put in a little LED instead or does it have to be visible even when not lit?

They are additional turn signals which have to be mounted in a specific region of the car which generally falls just behind the front wheelarch. One Z06 over here has the side repeaters tucked into the gills as they have to be visible at an angle of 5-60 degrees from the side to the rear of the car. However, as I'm doing this myself, I don't want some snotty SVA tester arguing the toss over the legality so I'd rather make it more obvious and not take the risk. I'm looking at something white and reasonably small like the vauxhall Astra ones. I quite liked the new triangular Megane ones which would look good under the Z06 badge but think they'd take too much drilling.
