Hey everyone, I propose we start planning a major party for the guys returning from Iraq. Those guys have been doing things that many of us will never do. I know I wouldn't want to go, so I highly applaud them for their contributions!

Anyway, we should have a welcome back party upon their return, and we should have MAX participation. This should be far enough in advance for people to be able to mark it on their calendars, as soon as we figure out a good date. I know their exact return is unknown, but if we said sometime in September, that should be a pretty good timeframe to work with. What do you all say?

Plus, Bruce can add his "going away party" and "not going away after all party" to it, too

Anyway, definitely! Maybe combine it with a weekend cruise to somewhere, party at a campground or something, then cruise back the next day ...

You know I'm down for that. As long as it doesn't conflict w/ my dyno tune w/ MM. That $$ is non-refundable. Let's get this ball rolling now!
Do we want to host it here or where exactly?

Anywhere- it just needs to be done! :) It really doesn't matter, but it might be nice if it was close to Wiesbaden, since they're both from that area, and have been gone enough!

Sounds good. I'm down for whatever.

Do we know when they are coming back?

Depending on when it is...we could use my place...6km from Landsthul, in Mittelbrunn. I have parking for 15 or 20 cars in my courtyard alone, easy...15+ more in the street. Fairly good sized yard...swing set for the kids. Cows, pigs, chickens, too....a regular zoo. Best of all...its free. But I did throw my grill away....
Oh yeah...motors to build.

Fried turkey rocks...
You can make one hell of a fireball if you throw the turkey in still partially frozen...don't ask how I know

So, it's basically a deep fat frier big enough to fit a butterball in or what?
Hm ... can imagine, I slightly remember one of the first times we operated a deep fat frier many years ago ... :) No fire effects here, though ... luckily ... :)

so you both are back in August, September where and when ever is fine,
deep fried turkey is awesome, had one for last christmas in Florida, one of the best meals I ever had in my life !
I will pay for all turkey we need, one, or two or more, depends on the number of people.
