For those who were in Bitburg, you might have noticed that we had some delays due to oildowns and the likes ...

Well, driving home, would you believe that I saw 4 (four) more places where they had signs warning about oildowns? Two right around Bitburg (might have been some of the cars coming from or going to the track ;)), one in Daun, and another on the Autobahn A5 ... heck, we only had some radiators blow last year, but hardly any oil problems all year... :pat:

Bruce made it home O.K. Car was not leaking that bad. I followed him all the way to Nburg and then peeled off to Bamberg. Jack, did your power steering hose hold up?

Hey, I have no idea who lost oil on the streets ... as they already had signs up and everything, it might have happened quite a bit earlier ... don't think it really had anything to do with and 1on1 drivers ;)

 Hope that it wasn't from anyone here. :(
When you said oildowns, are you talking about bad leaks or well ventilated blocks and oil pans?

Yes it did dude! Thanks for the assistance! ;) Those clamps that Linda got from the Bug guys were very high quality!

Just the German Warning-Signs with "Ölspur" written underneath ... didn't really see anything on the road apart from a bit of dry sweep at one place ...

it is looking like the front oil seal is the problem and I was running one extra quart of oil in the car it is no longer leaking but I will replace it.

I know too, and by the way, the clamp stopped working about an hour ago. I had to make a really sharp turn, and it popped off! :(

I live in Bitburg...many of those signs were there prior to to the races...most even set up even if there wasnt anything, in anticipation.

BTW, thanks for the invite at the track...I'm the Gunmetal Firebird Cabrio at the pits on sunday.

Jack, did you order your new hose yet. Might as well suck it up and fix it right.

For right now, I just have a shorter belt. I'll order it soon, but I kind of like the workout I get. :P
