I should order some long tubes with the LS6 intake to go with the cam I ordered and do it all at once. Any suggestions for Headers I am hearing alot about FLP |

Bruce, Go ahead and get the FLP they are pretty good. Once you get all of your work done we will have to meet and let me show you how nice my Baby runs. I know of a couple of places that we can run at and of course their is always the Bahn for the top end runs. Just don't feel to bad when a Classic runs away from you. J/K Actually no I am not. LOL |

Nothing is up with a "Classic" car. I would rather wait and let you get your "Mods" done first. That way You know that I beat the "A" team and not a second rate vehicle. LOL What are you looking at running ? 1/8 or 1/4 ?? We both know that top end I will have to give to you since I can only run to around 150. But to getting up there I will be there first and then wait for you to get up there and then go beyond. |

Just make sure that they have the stuff available, cuz they will say they can fill an order today, but not actually have the parts for 3 wks. Probably due to so many people wanting them. Hooker LT's make more power, if that is what your priorities are, but have no O2 hookups, but then again, neither header will be emission legal. If I didnt get told a story again, mine will be arriving today and I will post pics in the pic post forum. Rob |

I want POWER I would like quality also. I alredy have the 2 1/2 inch y pipe I plan on running cats. I am prepared to cut and weld the exhaust systems to make it work. I do not want the boy racer sound. I want to be quiet it lures them in for the kill if you know what I mean. |

The FLP's do allow you to run cats (still illegal, cuz you have to relocate them, and that is a federal no-no), and they should give you good hp. Moving up to a 3 inch Y, and pushing the exhaust restrictions further downstream, will definatelly help HP. The quiet part, I dont think you will achieve. Just another opinion, LS1s already have hp, what you need is torque. A good quality 1 3/4 shortie setup would do that, and unless you go really wild with cam/heads shouldnt become a bottleneck. |

I ordered a Thunder Custom Comp Cam 224/224 561lift 112LSA 4 degrees advance ground into the cam with the CC 941 springs chrome moly pushrods retainers and gasket set. This cam is supposed to run. |

Big Blocks are nice but not always needed. Have no fear though I am running 8 cylinders. Just remember not everything has to be big. Some Big things come in small packages. |

There are some other LT headers out there, Grots, DynaTech, etc., I am probably missing 1 or 2, but can't think of them off the top of my head right now. Here is how I would rate them: Grots - Awesome Header - Crappy Customer Service TTS - Very Nice Header but no ORP available SLP - Very nice header FLP - Some people are having problems with the coating DynaTech - Actually a very nice header but "Race Only" MAC - So So Header (Mid Length) - Crappy Service - Inexpensive Weighing everything, I personally would go with the SLPs, they offer the best balance between a great product and decent customer support and flexibility (ORP or Cats). Additionally, you can frequently find the SLPs on a GP, whereas most of the others will not allow their products to be GP'd. FWIW, I really do not think there would be much difference in HP between any of them excluding the MACs. |

No yours is better and has a split /more duration & slightly more lift exhaust side. You have a custom grind Extreme split Nitrous cam and it will sound more like Roys choppy Idle when cold hard lope when warm. Your cam will pull till 6600 and will reward you with about 40 hapees. |
