I'm logged in now for about 6 hours nonstop and use prillian to see what's going on here. There has been a short time with 4 users online for about 5 minutes but most of the day there are only 1 or 2 online and always the same two or three guys. I really like fbe , cool guys , cool threads ... a little bit of america in boring germany and additionally a good chance to improve my english. 
but this is really sad  and I hope there will be better times ... soon ....

Well, some people actually have to *WORK* and can't be online all the time.

It gets like this, and then it wakes up and then dies again. It's a neverending cycle.

my excuse: I can NOT go on any NON-GOV site during work hours. that is why I got my home computer
besides that I am on the road 80% of my time... on my home computer now, since I got a nice new fibre glass kabel in the 90s I can NOT get DSL, which means: no flat rate. so I won't log in just to wait and watch if somebody goes online. I will only be online to read news or research and type answers. |

I don't think it's a matter of members. 500 is quite a lot. With this amount we had something about 100 different loggins per day at BO-Board. So the question is: Where's all the english speaking peeps at? Nevertheless: I'm here - I stay. See how you manage this
Edit: This Thread is a good way to see that this Board is still alive!

you also got to remember that many of the members are military and they are not always near their computer, or even their home. there are some which only read and never post. but, and this is what I like, whereever the members end up around the globe, sooner or later they come back and say 'hi' |

I'm online most of the time during the day, but somehow, it seems like I need to actually do WORK during the day ... so I just browse through every now and then ... don't have the IM open usually ... |

Yeah, it says 500. But, in all honesty, its only about 50-60. A vast majority of those other guys never post. Some don't even read! How can we have a meeting of about 14 peopel be one of our biggest EVER!?!? |
