Garry, not quite as bad as driving 6 hours (Bitburg) for 8 x 13 seconds = less than 2 minutes. You can usually do 3 x 20 minute sessions on a Thursday, which is more than your car might like.

Val, Hockenheim is not quite as exciting as the Nordschleife, but it is a lot safer and you are not likely to waste your car in a crash barrier. The key to Hockenheim is to CONSERVE your brakes. Beginners usually cook their brakes and the last place you want brake failure is at 230 kmh down the back straight approaching the following 80 kmh hairpin. If you want then I can ride with you and show you the correct lines. Might even leave Roy in your dust.

My ducts show up in time I'm coming. Haven't blessed that track yet and need to before I put it up for the winter.

I'll be there... 16 September, make sure you arrive there just before 5pm, not later!

I'll also be there THIS Thursday, 9 September, same time. :)

We aren't going to Stuttgart because we want to... Jerry has ANOTHER conference there... I feel like we should just move to Stuttgart... and when he goes for work he sometimes doesn't get out of his meetings until after 7:00...
If this is a day that he can get out early we will be there, it is Jerry's birthday on the 16th and I think he would love to do that for his birthday so we will try...

2Slow, sounds GREAT!! I just picked up the StopTech Big Brake set up not exactly what Roy has, but it is the 13in(332mm) rotors and Brembo 4piston (40mm piston) calipers with the Paget Orange race pads. Hope that does the trick for the front brakes. I will take you up on the ride along!!!!

John, you gotta come out for this one!!!!!

ChevyV6 & Ben, look forward to seeing you there!!!!

Hey I should be there on Both dates if I get my Kitchen pass in order now. Right now I can't hang with no Super beatles on Hockenheim So If your in My Rear view 2slow , I will do the Gentlemen thing and move out of the way.
The only thing I hate is , sometimes there it seems to be up to sixty crs rolling out there and all want to late brake and turn in at the same time.

Roy, I know what you mean with the 60 cars. I always try to start in front, that gives me 1-2 free laps before I start to catch up and lap the backmarkers (most of them BLIND). I have my Xenons on full bright and one hand on the horn button to warn those p.o.s. Fiestas etc not to cut me up, but one day it is going to end in tears.

do you think that I could have the Paget pads bedded in by the 16th if I got the spacers in before this weekend??? I don't want to get out there and tear up a new set of racing pads.

Val.
It can be done no problem, but the rotors should have a bout 100miles of city break-in driving before bedding in the the pads to the rotors.
