From my front door in Mittelbrunn to Houston, all customs paperwork, ocean frieght, and port of entry clearance paperwork...$1160. Anyone ship a car at their expense that can tell me if this is a good estimate? I haven't found any better ones yet. |

That's a steal! Is that all taxes included because normally it's around 1500-1600. Who is this through? I may go that route when it's time to ship the Toy. |

I have head that you can ship an extra car back "space-A" for around $500 with the same folks that ship most of the cars back and fourth for the military. I too am interested in this. tom |

That's a good deal. Since I'll be using the Gov for the wife's car, I will be paying for mine to be shipped. |

I asked Transcar last week or two about shipping back at my expense. Apparently they used to, but had to quit due to a conflict of interest with their contract with the US government. The company I talked to is called Worldwide Shipping Agency in Bremen. I don't have the numbers with me but can send them to anyone interested. I'm now thinking of sending the Z-28 back through them and the T/A through the USG. I'd rather drive the T/A the 4.5+ hours back from Dallas VPC and the Z the 3+ hours from Houston. John, the dude I spoke to said $1060 from my door to Houston, $70 more for the port fees at the other end. I figured in another $100 instead. I was expecting $1300 to 1500 myself. |

From what I've heard here before, you should probably ship the "better" car privately ... less danger by @$$hole loading crew people etc. ... |

Yeah- they don't give a rat's ass about other people's cars. I've been up there on several missions, and have seen the way they treat cars. It's pathetic at best. ![]() |

Barry let me have those numbers when you have time. Thanks. Shipping to the door? I've never heard of that. Always though it was at the port. |

Shipping to the door would be perfect. Put it on a trailer at the port, and deliver it without them even having to touch it. ![]() |

They take non-op cars... $50 fee if you drop it off at port, if they pick your non-op at the house add $62.50. |
