Now it is for sure: all Daewoos will be badged Chevrolet in Europe.
This makes me sick  !!!
Ask a German what he associates with Chevrolet: The answer will probably be: big V8!
But in future they will say: cheap korean metal.
The Camaro owners should do like the Corvette: Call it GM Camaro.
Delete Chevrolet, scratch off the Bowtie!
I do not know what in US the brand Chevrolet stands for, but here in Europe the image will be spoilt.

OMG.
So there will be a Chevrolet Nexia? (if they still produce that POS, formerly known as Opel Kadett - which was a good car... about 15years ago.)
Can´t wait to see the first Daewoos with a "Chevrolet Racing" sticker...

OMG, i feel so sick now.... I think I'll have to punke now ..... for all of you that can read german..... it's true
Daewoo = Chevrolet = Lada = GM

I'm going to take off the chevy badge now...

Hm ... guess I need to get Firebird after all, at least I don't think they will put Pontiac on any POS car ... (apart from some of those strange models )

Yes, it's official. Daewoo will become Chevrolet even in the UK so my Daewoo Z28 and Z06 will have some distinction at last. What a stupid move. Can you imagine if back in the 60's and the days of McCarthyism, someone said "One day we'll be putting Chevrolet badges on cars from Korea". They'd have been framed for shooting President Kennedy for sure.
Here in the UK, it is proposed that Chevrolet WILL enter racing and it will be a Daewoo that will be the weapon of choice.
What is the world coming to? Holdens badged as Pontiacs and Vauxhalls and now Daewoos as Chevrolets. Still, look on the bright side, it could be a Volkswagen badges as a Bentley. LOL.

Well, they would put a very de-tuned version in. Can't have a Korean made POS running with the 'Vette now can we?

Ford = Mazda = Lincoln = Mercury = Jaguar &
Mercedes = Chrysler
true BUT you don't have ford's running around with Jaguar badges or a Chrysler Status having a mercdes star..... fact IS that Ladas & Daewoos WILL come with chevy badges from factory ....... what a shame

Look at it this way...
Ford is known worldwide because it's blue oval is on everydamnthing it seems. Its about time Chevy did the same thing and became known on the same stage. And what better way to do that than put the Bowtie on some non-descript cars around the world.
GM has had its finger in the Daewoo pie for years, so that came as no surprise. But Lada? I didn't expect that.

Yeah, but to slap a Chevy bowtie on a pos Korean car just adds injury to insult. It's bad enough that Chevy is associated with them, but to actually call it a chevy is wrong. Just think, I'm sure somebody will throw Z28 or SS badges on their Daewoo. It's kind of amusing.
