Looking to upgrade my tree timing skill (without spending money), is there a half-decent computer practice tree program that can be downloaded from the net?

Stef, when you're at the tree, what light do you react on?

I stage shallow and dump the clutch once the 3rd orange lights up. Usually works well for .6 rt, but lately I have become inconsistent (read: slow). Therefore the practice needed.

Shallow stage will help the ET and trap speed, but increases your R/T ... launching on third yellow should get you going in time ...
Dunno whether that web site will actually give you reliable R/Ts ... I'll check the internet for some native program ...

I was thinking about building a little training tree ;) I might do that some time ;) not really that much to it ... just need to see what to do with the time output ... a 7seg display would be cheaper but more hardware and higher power usage ...

I think it's pretty good Garry, instead of each amber lighting up individually they light up together. My average is. 450

Its kinda cool, and not to far off in application. Test by hitting a mouse button, launch by releasing a trans brake button :).

on the kiddie tree, they are on it with launching on the last amber, but atleast try to stage the car exactly the same way every time, but some events dont allow deep staging, and you will get burned at the tree if you dont know what your doing.

It would be cool (and propably more accurate) to have a program that works directly off your own computer's CPU, instead of having to link from Germany across the Atlantic to a computer somewhere in USA. There must be inconsistencies in rt when you go through so many switches and links?

Nope, as you're looking on a website but the program itself is JavaScript running on your own computer, not over the net.

I doesn't take the vehicle reaction time into account ... reacting to the yellows to turn on at my regular desktop PC, I got a 2:1 ratio of redlights and .4 times ... a regular street car will usually take somewhere in the range of .3 to roll out of the stage beam ... the script only measures the driver reaction time ... which can (should) be in the .1-.2sec range ... I could patch the page up for this ;) Might do that tonight or something ...
