I heard something today that really pissed me off. I guess there are people out there that are feeling that myself, Roy, Stef, James & the others that Auto-X are snobs because we don't come over to the drag race area and "BS".
This is furthest from the truth. I just want to let you know exactly what we do over there for those that haven't made over to "BS". As soon as we get to the track we have to set up our own course to include timing equipment. If you have never helped set up a Auto-X crs it takes alot of time. After that is done then we have to brief all the drivers and walk the crs so everybody understands what is going on and how to drive it. Then we finally get to start racing. While the cars are put into groups & racing, we (Roy, Stef, James, & myself) have to work the course since the cones will not stand back up on their own and the timing equipment needs to be run too. Each car gets 1 pratice & 4 timed)runs on the track (1 run is 2 laps). Each lap usually takes around minute plus. By the end of the day is when we who have been working the course all day usually get to do our own runs. When we finish it's around 1800. We come to the drag race area and most have left. Now that the auto-x is up at the end of the drag strip maybe a few can stop by and see that we are busy working & not being antisocial. Swing through while you are waiting to return to the staging area.
Trust me I would love nothing more than to be able to BS all day with everybody and make runs when the lanes are open. Who ever thinks this should come on over one of these times and see or maybe even run their car through and work the course for awhile. I hope that it wasn't anybody off this board that thinks this as they would be sadly mistaken.

Val.......phhuck whatever they think. People always have something to say about one thing or another. We all know that. They can go where the sun don't shine. Besides we all know real drivers do turns. ha-ha.
Nah in all seriousness I doubt it would be anybody from here. Hell the same could be said for all the straight liners. You don't see them over there dodging the cones do ya? 1/4 mile snobs. J/K
Hope to see ya this wkend and check out those stop techs.

hell if I remember correctly Val / James / Roy it was you three that showed immense amounts of patience with myself and the focus / crx kids. Us newbies sure loved hanging out down there last time. I know I did.

I'll be up by 11 or so. Is the back gate going to be open? Or will I have to run down the strip?
