Do you think the germany-based market is big enough to justify a direct import and distribution of SLP parts?

I know you Army guys can buy at low freight rates but for the germans?

Just curious....

Hm ... Problem most likely is not only whether enough people will buy in Germany/Europe (open market will make it easier to sell once it's in Europe), but also whether the parts are cleared to use by TÜV (at least relevant for Germany) ...

You really think that they´ll realize bolt ons like Lids or optimized intakes?
Of course big a*s enigne work would pose a problem....

My previous black 99 passed the Munich TUeV with the Intraxx springs and all the stuff Hawk, Rich and the other guys helped me install, including a american spec Z28 exhaust. They did not even notice!

Also Poland is EU now, too. And if i can get the stuff legalized over there or in Hungary for example, it is usable EU-wide :)

sounds like a plan ... and while you're at it, you could just go all the way and import other F-Body parts, too ... I don't think there are any F-Body performance parts importers ATM ...

And yes, I know that some TÜV inspectors might not notice, other might not care as long as the parts are obviously fine and not a hazard. Still, some customers will be wary about putting parts on without ABE ... (I'm driving around with the BMR Swaybars, PanHard, Kenny Brown Double Diamon SFC, and Jack's STB :), haven't had a problem at the last TÜV inspection)

Rampage that would have been nice for me a few months ago. I had to bribe a dealer to break up my SLP exhaust...turned out to be the right dealer and it set me up in the future for right pricing and various other job opportunities I wasn't expecting...

Ask Danix Rampage. He could tell you all about what you just asked. At least in Stuttgart they notice EVERYTHING!

Memo for myself: "Never move to Stuttgart"

I think most people are afraid of using non-TÜVed parts and i think you would feel silly telling every customer (to stay on the safe side):
"But only for off-road use!" ;-)

Rampage, which Rich you looking for? I moved from Vilseck to Mannheim a year back. Closer to Bitburg. Still playing with Pontiacs. Trying to get a Firebird up in DA. I'm down to a 74 Ventura, 87 GTA, 95 Jeep and a 97 Tahoe. We'll have to get together one weekend. I may be at Hawks this weekend. He said something about Eisenach?? I'll be helping a friend with his Super Gas at the test & tune/public race (13-14 Aug) and the Nitro Olypmics (19-20). I'll be in Bitburg for the 1 &2 Oct races. 3/4 Sep headed to Italy.
