A somewhat confirmed rumor by CorvetteConti.com and cheersandgears.com. Corvette will have a 6.2 or 6.3L LS3 with 450hp or so and a 600+HP 6.2L Supercharged LS9.

I'm hoping the GTO gets one of the those motors. :P

450HP out of 6.3L doesn't really sound like that much ...

Though, nicer than 300HP of course ... ;) Or 193 as on mine :(

Just remember this is the same engine architect as the LS1 which is already quite compact and lighter than most Iron V6's and many 4 cylinder motors.

Gentlemen...if you ever had any doubts that this was the new muscle car era...this should change your mind. 425hp in the SRT-8s, 230hp in the $20k entry cars. Enjoy the glory while it lasts.

With the new gas mileage standards due to take effect in a few years, all GM cars made after 2006 will have the 3 cylinder motor used in the 1995 Geo Metros. Enjoy!!!

GM is also applied for a patent on an 8 speed transmission, that should help with the fuel milage, 6 gears for fun and 2 for fuel

that's great news.

I just wished they evolved more on the body designs other than the newest one out.
