... the folks in Lousiana/Mississippi and the gulf area ... guess they could use a prayer for safety and as little damage as possible ... :( another couple hours till landfall ...

We may have a house on our lots by nightfall!!! Probably won't be in very good shape though. Looks like the eye will go just about right over where we plan to retire. May not be good for Mardi Gras next year though.

I guess they should be able to clean up until then ... hope there's stuff left to clean up ... New Orleans is a nice place ... didn't see that much of it yet, but liked it ...

Well, looks like N.O. lucked out, with both the hurricane slightly weeker than expected, and hitting land further east than predicted ... still not over yet ...

Ironicly, I am moving to Biloxi MS in Dec. I plan on buying a house. Although I feel for people who live there, I am a bit relieved that I haven't bought a house yet.

Reports from the area don't sound good at all ... :(

Just interesting ... on radio (NC station) I just heard an interview, where the radio guy asked a woman from some relief thing what stuff they needed the most ...

First item she mentioned: Peanut butter.
