I called Scoggin Dickies expecting to get tangled up in a big arguement because its been 3 weeks and no products have arrived at my doorstep.
Turns out, the heads are still at the some shop getting ported. So I asked him who was doing it, expecting to hear that Davey and his cousin Earl were doing the heads in they're woodshed with a cold file.
I wasnt really expecting him to tell me that they were still at Lingenfelter's shop! ......Well, that makes me feel alittle better, and I will allow him a couple more days with them .
On a side note, I told him to split the shipment, so everything except the heads will be here in the next 3 days!!!!!!!

Seems strange that this wasnt in the advertisement though. As far as porting goes, this was practically free, I'm sure it's not much of a job, but the add claims +40hp.
Of course, they are still using the 'ol....."want 425 hp from your LT1?" for they're LT4 conversion, so pass the grains of salt, I need some.

I thought the hot LT4 was good for 425 hp? With your CNC'd heads and LT's and TB ect. you should make 460 hp gravy. Cake high 11's with traction.

Thats just it, I dont know. You've seen the ads. Look in any GMHTP and look at SDPC chevy add. It will say LT4 heads, and then CNC'd LT4 heads, the differance in price is about $550. Thats alot, but in the grand scheme, that is a very cheap port job. Most places want $700< per head, so I just assumed it was a in house job that wouldnt really amount to more than cleaning up the bowls and runners. When they told me that Lingenfelter still had them, it kinda shocked me. I feel comfortable that his CNC program has been done right, and should produce the claimed hp increase. Will it be a GTP combo? Hell no, but it wont cost an additional $2000 on top of new heads either.
The intake is not being ported, and I dont really see a need for it to be. The normal LT1 intake is good until 400-450hp, and I'm not going to be in that rare air. I am realistically looking for 350-370 rwhp, then I will squeeze it another 75 when running at the track.

Sounds good are you degreeing the NOS cam. I am waiting till winter. I can not stand not having the car on nice days. I am going for 480-520 HP shooting for 450hp to rear wheels by spring low 11's on motor only. Traction, clutch,& rear end are some weakspots that will be upgraded as needed. So if you get orders back to Germany we could play.

I'm just getting a normal Hot cam, no custom nos cam, cuz I doubt I'll tap the bottle very often, but if that turns out to be wrong, then maybe I'll think about it.
Jeff about the hp, Im counting rwhp not crank. It may very well be in the 400's, but I dont have the electronics that "Super Chevy" had running it. I'm figuring a real safe sided 20-25% driveline loss, so it should be in the 360 area. If its more, bonus and I'm with you on the et's. It will have the power to turn a 11, but I dont know about the driver

Yes, I was speaking in crank HP. Are you going to have it tuned on the dyno by Ed Wright? I am sure you will surpass the hot LT4 of super chevy, by a good margin. I think a 11 sec timeslip is in your grasp, I have seen you drive, but hey if you cant manage a 11 N/A spray!

Ed is booked solid till the year 2009!!!!! Actually it is a 3 month wait to do it. I am going to go to a place in OKC called "Powerhouse" they have a chasis dyno and a good staff of people, so I hear.
Its gonna be fun rolling up to some kid in his SC 5.0 or LS1 with a lid that think they are the shiznit, then proceed to drag they're ass by 5 cars or more
