Just got off work and on my way home 1 of 6 (exhaust leaks) gave way. Needless to say the car sounds horrible......in fact so horrible it almost sounds internal. I wasn't even runnin it....just through one of the small villages and kabang! and then I hear some bolts or nuts hit the undercarriage and bounce off the ground. That's when the sound kicked in.........Talk about embarrassing! Get home and park it in the garage and turn the lights out to see if there sparks and there's none. Then I go to look underneath and all kinds of air is blowin (major) but I can't figure it out as to where. I knew it was bound to happen....The Toy was insulted by those RK's and the cheap fix y-pipe for now. That incident there just forced me to get the FLP's..... I shouldn't have skimped on the parts in the 1st place. Oh well...good thing though my TDY is payin 70+ a day for a good 20 days possibly more. So that just offset the headers and k-frame w/out dippin into the paint $$$$! WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! |

Keep faith in your project, That is one sick ride. And if you think having a car back fire is bad try pulling up in a crowded 24 hr shoppette with you beater and shut it off. And still have the thing run for 15 minutes. That is definatly very annoying. I'm having the no nice car blues. |

Well I found the cause. Egr fittin on passenger header gave way. The screw backed out totally and that was the sound I heard on the way bouncin all in the bay and undercarriage. Dropped it off at Tony's this afternoon so it'll be his winter project/breakin project as well. Sending off for the FLP's today along w/ the K-frame. I'm wondering should I get the A-arms too? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Nah......... Hey Ryan wanna buy my B&M shifter this Dec? I'm gonna get the Hurst Pro when I get back from this TDY. 75bucks sound cool? |
