Stef, Interesting that it comes from the factory with a Vmax restriction. Even more interesting is with it removed it comes up wanting. The RS4 looks to have more of an advantage for the 1/4 mile then the slalom. Are you thinking about changing disciplines? ![]() |

Roy, I don't quite get what you're trying to say.... The 250 km/h restriction is a voluntary agreement between most German manufacturers. If Audi derestrict the RS-4, then everybody will start to do it and most propably all insurance policies will skyrocket etc. etc. What do you mean with"come up wanting"? It's pointless gearing a car for 320 km/h and restricting it to 250 km/h. That means that you will have a 6th gear that cuts out at just over 6000 rpm (ok, I know your Cheby would have spat it's conrods by then). Or is there something else you are trying to say? ps: just remember, if you have your eye on KOTH, you first have to beat ME |

Stef I don't get what I am trying to say either , But don't worry its all in jest. So, Some of the guys were discussing whether or not to keep the course relatively simple and slow so as not to have owners contemplating selling their cars the next day and not coming back till the next year because of driving the front tires off the car while turning. Sounds like a plan? BTW speaking of blowing a rod , that new engine RS4 engine got one hell of a mean piston speed at max RPM that puts the S2000 to shame and some F1 engines also. |
