Got a mail over the weekend from somebody complaining about a VIN decoder not giving the correct information ... resulted in "Pontiac" as make of a car, which is a Toyota ...
Duh! If you enter a Toyota VIN on a page that starts out with "F-Body VIN Decoder" in the headline, what do you expect? Moreover, if 90% of the fields are listed as "incorrect", WTF do you think???
