I know I'm not going to get any sympathy from you guys...but I'm just so damned tired and mad that I don't know if I'm going to get out of this funk for a while.
My deployment that I've been trying to work for the last 6 months was cancelled last night. I've not deployed since 2002 and hell...that was just to Kosovo...so here I sit...stuck in my job till 2008...no patch on my right shoulder...a 9yr Captain soon to be Major...awesome. Just freaking awesome.
There are those of you out there on second and third deployments. I'm trying to get just one damned deployment.

Don't be too upset. I am sure that there will be a day when you are a two or three timer at deployments. I just hope to ride out my last three years without another one.

Try 16 in 17 yrs. I'd be careful for what you ask for. Me I wouldn't complain or gripe to much about it.  I literally have almost 9 yrs in the dirt.
