Just got this message from HQ.
Vehicle pulled to the side of the road with flashers blinking on the off-ramp. Seeing as how we are required to stop, decide to see if the people need help. Pulled over, the driver of the other vehicle and his wife approached my vehicle, with a map in hand claiming to be on the way to Paris, (French plated vehicle) and were out of gas and money. They asked for money. They were trying to scam me for cash. They became aggressive, told them sorry I can’t help and drove off. Noticed the same couple the following day at the same off-ramp pulling the same scam. A few days later, noticed a different French plated vehicle pulling the same scam over on B-40.
Security Forces is aware of the incidents. They promptly notified the Polezi. I was told by the LE desk that this is a problem that has been surfacing in our area recently with gypsies trying to take advantage of Good Samaritan laws and the local American population.
Just a little FYI, that you may consider something worth spreading across the FP community and fellow troops.

Yeah I had that happen once in the summer already. It almost got violent , dude stuck his arm in the window and I put a thumb lock from hell on him. The thumb felt like it came out of joint, but he went to his knees. I drove off.
