I made a round trip Pirmasens - Bitburg - Bad Hersfeld - Pirmasens
with a trailer on Saturday

Roy I am very sorry... I thought about the Slalom Score Hard Copy after I left Bitburg :(

Sunday I had "Störung" on the phone and the internet but I cleaned my house (needed it), and I did not feel like going up to Bitburg again, maybe I think of it next time

(and today when I got home... I had to take that ..... washmaschine apart again, this time it was the pump, or lets say: some part of a toy in the pump)

I can repair washmaschines and dishwasher if its not too difficult, install water lines and electricity in a house,
I can do simple woodwork, build walls, lay tiles, build driveways, do farming and butcher animals and many other things

I would like to learn how to fix my cars myself, I always wanted - but no mechanic ever taught me - they either think that it is not for women or they think I do know already... so I mess up more than I fix

My record in changing 4 wheels on a car was 11 minutes with the emergency jack and tool set

cooking and cleaning I just do because nobody else does :D hope we got that straight now!

I learned by doing and breaking things, thanks now I don't break too much now. My first opps was stripping a sparkplug thread in my 68 VW Beetle.

by doing and breaking things is no fun if you pay i.e. 650 Euro for installing a power steering line: estimate 400 the special line and 250 the labor. I rather pay 650 right away than trying to break 400 Euro first and THEN pay the 650 because I could not do it.
and I really don't like to break parts on older us cars which are sooo easy to come by in Germany  if I can not fix the 13 year old washmaschine anymore then I can order a new one to be delivered the next day, or actually I have another one in the garage and one in the hallway... if I lived in the US nearby some old junk yard, I'd just pick up an old car and as many parts as needed and play with it. but here in Germany this is not that much fun. if you got a part to fix it, there is no room to play and loose that part by messing up, and what am I doing with cars once they are apart and I get stuck in putting them back together. I got that problem at the moment, due to lack of mechanical skills for once, and also because I got several parts on different cars missing - I will probably have to set up my tent at a junk yard in FL next month - but how do I get them here? if I take them in my backpack I got to pay customs - and this time I will watch out for the snakes, don't like to get bit too often... that is why I did not get that needed Camaro Fender piece last time 14 month ago, I will try again this time, but at a rate of getting parts every year or so this is not progressing very fast...
Oh mensch, I do not even have all the right tools (metric yes, standard no) because Hornbach and Globus don't carry them. well I could order at Berger ... maybe.

sorry for venting.
I know Corollas pretty well. But there is not that much to fix. Either they run or they junk.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to go to 3 different stores to find a metric tap...and of course I couldn't just buy the 1 that I needed, the only way to get it was to buy a full tap set for $75

Just a little.

If I had an ID card I would not need a home, you'd always find me in Auto Hobby Shops
