plenty of space at the front. :
enough for an intercooler for the future , much easier to incorporate now then make room at a later stage :P

the transmissiontunnel will be HUGE

not really a pretty picture yet, i'll use this as a template, so i can make the final tunnel outside the car and use a little thicker sheetmetal then.

not much space for the throttlepedal left.
i might have to place the steering position 10cm further backwards inc. the pedals, steeringcolum , seat, etc..

I think the shifter will have to be relocated. Or get a AC Cobra style

Looks like someone is glad the winter is so nice and warm ;) Any guess if you'll get it done (at least preliminarily) for the May season opener? Can't wait to see you run it around the AutoX course and the 1/4 ... :)

Btw, what kind of rear-end are you putting in?

i don't think it will be ready for the first meeting at bitburg.
(i have a compressor ascona to build too you know for that purpose  )
engine block is beeing bored and honed now, so i hope i can start the buildup in the next couple of weeks

the ls1 manta car need a lot of work on the body too, so that will slow it down a lot allso (new doors, new sills , new wheelarches , new rear panel, etc..)
and i think it will more of a highspeed comfortable cruiser and dragger and not so much an autoX
