Now germany wants to bring out the law with taxes on cars. So you can have displacement but the emissions have to kept down. Hmm thoose bbc are comming now? As we all know LS1 have pretty good emissions.

hm ... that should make the LS1 a bit cheaper (unless they just make sure that stuff stays the same or goes up)
Actually, the emissions of the cars already define the taxes you pay - depending on the emission class of the car (though not amount of emissions), you pay anywhere from ~5€ to beyond 30€ per 100cubic cm...

I thought they taxed cars already and that's why you see gas sipper's vs gas guzzlers as they're too expensive to keep. No?

Actually I'd think our LS1s stay about the same. At the moment we've got a big disadvantage due to the large displacement. In the future (maybe) we'll have to cope with that f*cking ECE fuel consumption which is I think 13.3 l/100km for the LS1 (which is actually a number that is higher than my real-life consumption excluding race tracks).

However maybe it'll be all completely different as there is no ECE for older cars so there are difficulties on how to tax them...
