Well got the motormounts installed . That was a royal pain in the AZZ . Had to drop the oil filter and starter . Guess where the oil filter is? Directly above the starter . Yep you guessed it dumps right on the starter . In order to pull the starter you have to pull the filter . So there is no winning. So the mounts are in , oil filter on , and starter back in. Went to drain the pan and you guessed , the oil pan drain threads are stripped out. Thank goodnes for a over size self tapping oil pan plugged. Got it all together and warmed up and took it fro a road test . There is quite some turbo lag until the boost comes on and then hold on . It was to the point of spinning all four tires on the wet pavement . Did find a weak half shaft that I must replace and I seen the engine temp was rising when in boost . Gotta check out what is up with that. |

Sounds like some serious power you're putting out ... or very low traction ![]() good to hear you're starting to get somewhere with it ... |

It is probably the low traction part. Hopefully Iget it sorted here real soon. |

I am going to try a round plastic jug an cut the bottom out then slide the socket and filter thru the bottom and onto the filter. |

you could use a filter mount from an escort cossie as the filter is relocated with sort of a remote filter adapter. not quite sure about the small car "if you can't beat them join them" theme, we had quite a though time on val's car ![]() |

I will keep an eye out for one . My next problem I think Iam over boosting. It will boost to 2 Bar for approximately 15 secs and then cut back to about 1.3 to 14 bar. I think 2bar is a little excessive especially not knowing what is in the engine, and how healthy the engine is . |

Damn Roy I have got to get in touch with Berdt, he can answer ANY question you have on the car. Suhe built his motor as well. I know he owns the 2 Jet gas stations in Wiesbaden. Teh one with the car wash by the PX and the one at Walmart on Mainzerstrasse. The weather is nice so he should be driving the Sierra with the Mov'it brakes. If not it will be the Focus RS or the Fiesta ST. Seems it is registered in his wifes name not Bernd's. http://www.jet-tankstellen.de/tankstell ... l=&x=0&y=0 |

2 bar is somewhat too much i think could be that the wastegate isn't working at all thats about all the boost what the little T3 can produce. the reason it returns to 1,3-1.4 bar at higher rpm is that the turbocharger can produce anymore air ![]() |

James if that was in the area around here I would go for it . JeeJee I will look at the waste gate and the actuator tonight . IJust got my original Ford COSSIE manuals printed . SO now I can get some trouble shooting done. |

Hey JeeJee Have any Idea where these hoses connect to ? The first picture is a hose that comes from the intake manifold I believe . I colored it red for clarification . Yes that is a waterbottle that the hose is going into now. The second picture has a hose coming from a catch and going nowhere.

the red hose from the intake manifold as you say actually comes from below the intake there is a hole that leads to the crankcase. normally this then goes into a small seperator allso beneath the intake manifold ![]() then it goes to the airfilter. BUT with modified engines the crankcase pressure becomes a lot higher and as a result there will be blown a lot of oil into the airfilter so then a hose will go from the small seperator to a large seperator ( the steel box in the passengerside of the engineroom) along with 1 -2 hoses from the valvecover ![]() so the hose that now is in the bottle will actually need to go to the steel large seperator (sec. picture) but i can't see a vent to athmosphere at the top of the steel seperator you have. that is ABSOLUTE nessesary ! without it you will blow all oil seals in the engine in notime.. can you make a better picture from the separator in the second picture ?
