Why are German TV stations unable to produce any decent quality shows or series?
I just watched the 1st ep of the new Season of Dr. Who ... witty humor, good dialogs, great story, very good actors, and technically very well made.
All Germany seems to have are mediocre actors (at best), story and dialogs suck big time, and technically (camera, lighting, effects) are probably better in B-movies from the states.
And they wonder why German shows and series often don't survive longer than 2 or 3 episodes, even with gigantic production budgets and prime time schedule ...
Worst thing is when they try to rewrite/recreate US series. Out of whatever reason, they seem to suck even worse than the German productions ...
Oh well ... guess I know why I don't watch that trash ... just wish I could ditch the stupid GEZ payments ... at least the ones for TV reception ...
