Just got done dropping a 3.5 into a E30. Iwould rather drop the 4.0l V8 its onlly 10 horsepower less but a 50 kilos lighter. and easier to stuff in the bay.

just to see the peoples eyes at the pov inspection. open hood hmm didnt you say you had a 318 bmw? Yup Hmm
Can you imagine going to german-racewars with it? All the people asking can I have a ride, hmmm I dont think so you need to get a feeling for it first. And if they ask why. Show emm how burnouts and drifting is done by just tapping the gas.

Not really a new idea
Hamann Laguna Seca II

Huge engine and still only 480hp, seems like that V12 is made for smoothness and comfort, not for racing.

I have seen e30-V12 combination on the dragstrip. Lot of smoke and no go. Not sure how good it's for drifting, but it's heavy, really heavy... IMO its just for show. If you wan't to go fast, turbo and awd is the way to go. You can run 9's with good setup.

back in 1999 there used to be a 12-24 hour race on the Nuerburgring and I got an offer to drive a E30 with a V12 conversion in the race. There was an issue with the organization and the races ended that year. yes it can br done and has been done many times.

to be honest if I get the v12 engine I may make some custom headers because I hate the factory ones.
