I just scored a two month old 12 bolt rearend for my car for $1200 and my old rearend. This is a direct bolt in for my car. I will be so relieved at the track now when I spray it out of the hole. I am now going to drop some weight out of the car, up the shot a little, and get me a 9 second pass. Well, that is the plan anyway.

I didn't twist his arm. He is selling the car because his second motor just blew. He needs some cash and he isn't going to need the rearend anyway.

Good "He said POOP", let us know when you get that 9 second pass.

Just had my ported 90 FAST and TB installed. Tomorrow Nicole takes the car to get tuned during the MM dyno day.

I got the rearend in this past weekend. It is alot bigger and heavier than the little 10 bolt. It has 4.10 gears in it. I also have a steel drive shaft with the 1350 u-joints now. I am ordering the 250hp jets this week and try it out if a few weeks in the 1/4.
What kind of numbers did you put out on the dyno? Just remember that dyno numbers don't mean squat to an automatic car. The converter and tranny eat up alot of the power.

Its a mustang dyno and I got 378rwhp actual from the dyno.

The tuner said it is around 408rwhp/375rwtq on a dynojet.

And he said the same as you regarding the performance and torque converter etc...

Should be good for low 12's now, pulled strong to 6500rpm and the ported FAST is a huge difference in the upper RPM's as witness by an 04 MACH 1 that Nicole squashed from a 100MPH roll.

;)

D@mn good numbers. Now here is a good question. Once you get to the low 12s, what are you willing to do to get to the 11s? A 100-150 shot would be nice on the car. Or you could pull the motor, put in forged pistons and rods, and put a direct port on it. It would run a high 10 on a 200 shot. Of course, the car gets a few rattles in it the faster you go.

Jerry. :) It's up but the base tune isn't something I'd drive on. I've got some minor tweaking to do and I'll be on the road. I was hoping to have it up for Bitburg this coming wkend but it doesn't look like it unless I get my part from Summit before the weekend....bad -an fitting of the fuel rail. I've been on fire before and I'm not doing that again.

I will be out for Bitburg in July.

Well, I took it to the 1/8th mile track this past weekend. I took a little weight out of the car. It went 7.39@92 on motor and 6.74@103 on the kit. The rearend is awesome. I am still spinning a little when the kit comes on. I am also about to lose 3rd gear. It is not wanting to shift at all on the kit. I bet this car has a 6.5X in it if the tranny would shift.

What does a 6.5 equate to in the 1/4?

10.075. All you have to do is multiply his time by 1.55. Looks like that 9 second time slip is in reach. :D
