Wow... cool :)

But you would have a hard time registering that car in germany now, as it was never registered it has to match the current emission laws, that would be EURO 4 (or in 2009 EURO 5)...

Like those guys that kept new cars for 10, 20 years (BMW Z1 etc) to make good money and then discovered that a 20 year old new car won't pass emission testing ;)

Guess there's not much of a point in buying that car to drive it ... I reckon anybody who buys it will get it as a collector's item ...

IMO a car that isn't driven missed its point ;)
Leno f.e. collects cars, but drives them... but just to put them somewhere to collect dust, i don't know. But that's a different story.

Yeah, but if you're really interested & don't want to sc*** w/ the German laws, buy a red tag & drive on it!

I did that for one year while i fought TÜV... ;)

It's quite annoying not to be able to drive it whenever you want to
and telling the cops all the time you do some transfer or you are on the way to the workshop or you do a test drive only works for a limited time... and then the red (car business) plates are gone.
And buying temporary plates all the time costs a fortune.

I drive my Trans Am pretty hard, and it rocks.

I can not get a second Trans Am and baby it, that is just plain sacriledge in my book...

Unless you drive a Corvette, than that is normal and expected.
