Orders be taken starting tomorrow for the 08 Challenger. I am a bowtie guy at heart, but I have been waiting for this. As a matter of fact, I have been on the list for an SRT8 for about 7 months now. They have been pushing the release date further and further back, but it's now official.

What are your thoughts on it? Do you like this or the Camaro styiling better?

I think GM is screwing up for letting this get released before they can get the Camaro out.

Hm ... why would anyone be willing to pay an additional 19k instead of ordering direct?

You cannot just go direct to Dodge and buy them direct. You have to go through a dealer. I can tell you that when we were looking into getting a Magnum SRT8 when they first came out they were going for 20K over sticker. That is because they were rare in the sense that each dealer only got so many. Then on top of that you had dealers that were purchasing them from themselves before it even hit the floor. That way they could ask whatever they wanted to.

These are probably going to be even worse because they are going to be a numbered limited edition.

All I know is that I cannot wait for me name to come up for one
