It's been a long time since I have been on this forum so what's up? My car is alot different from when you guys saw it last. I'm running 9:1 compression, stage II heads/cam D1SC at 12 lbs, moser 12 bolt with 3:73s. Well it dynoed at 480 hp to the wheels. I can't wait to get it to a track. I'm guaranteed getting slicks and a line lock for it. |

OMG! Dave?! What's up man? I thought you were long gone. So where are you? Still in Dover? 12 psi on a 383 you should be seeing north of 600rwhp. You have an intercooler on that thing? Got any current pics of the car? Good to hear from you. I'm finally leaving in 90 days dude. Going to Tyndall. ![]() |

Yeah drama. Holy "He said POOP". The car left Germany with a stupid powerdyne and fmu on it. Got that stuff in a box if anyone wants it. Johns finally leaving. WHOA!!!! It's not a 383, only 355. Another stupid Tony story. I left Dover. I'm parked on the west coast in northern california. Travis AFB is home near Sacramento. The firebird is car #2. A 2000 tahoe is primary. |

He's still here from what I hear still doing the OSL thing but I don't know how accurate that is. Is the car registered in CA? I sure hope not as that place sucks! You ever get her painted? 355 w/ 12psi is still stout and I think there is more left to it...I bet you could squeeze another 50-75hp easy. Travis? How long you've been there? Yeah, I'm still here but the time is coming to an end. I'll miss it but it's time to move on...and besides I've stacked up enough chips over the years so it's all good. ![]() |

I bought the car in Texas, I'm a resident of Texas and it didn't pass Delaware standards so it's still registered in Texas. I'm just happy it's running good. I still have plenty of injector to maybe go 15 lbs but I want to see what this thing will do with some slicks. The weakest link is the transmission. Only thing left stock. If I break her I have a trailer. Should be good for 10s if I can drive it. Same paint. When I get a paint job it's going to be more than one color and expensive. Maybe this summer. Maybe I'll put lambo doors on it. Haven't seen a firebird with those yet. |

Dave I wouldn't worry too much about the tranny. We've got guys on the stock tranny running borderline 9's w/ them. As long as you've done regular maintenance you should be fine. Are you running the dual intercoolers? You got to post some pics! Glad to know you have it running and enjoying it. It's a slow painful process for some of us and that's just the way the ball bounces sometimes. In the end though the reward is worthi it when you can turn the key and just go. I haven't achieved that part just yet but I'm getting there. |
