I am in El Segundo CA now life is good I live 1 mile from the beach. I work at the LAX airport as a screener for TSA Homeland Security.
Hawk Status I pulled all NOS and slicks off I a driving it to and from the track with the 275/40/17 MT Drag Radial.
It is running 7.7 at 95MPH with a 1.9 60 foot. I am sure it can do better but I almost forgot how to race.
Z06 Status I blew out a valve spring, and the pilot bearing went bad , So I put a new clutch PP in it. I upgraded the wheels to the black chrome Z06 they look sweet.

I see more Porshe's and BMW here than I did in Germany it is really crazy here but I love the weather and all the eye candy. I have almost broke my neck checking out the goods.

Bruce Bruce! What's up? Glad to hear from you and to know that you are well! I had heard you were in CA but wasn't sure but I know now. :D I'm pretty close to the beach myself and the lagoon. 10 mins and pretty soon I'll have me a jet ski. They've got some eye candy too here on the other side of town but I stay away from there as I know I'll break more than my neck.

You now have a Z06 too? Sweet. Sweet also that you are working at the airport--funny as I am planning to do the same thing in 2 yrs when the international airport comes online here. Can't wait. How's the pay? Well dude I hope you keep in touch this time around but I know how life is along w/ the new girlfriend. ;)

Silas,

Thanks guys
SRZ where are you TSA does all the airports starting pay is OK not great but it is the benefits and promotion potential. It took me about 6 months to get in and actually hired lots of interveiws, testing, medical screening, and so forth but at the end of the day I am happy. Bottom line is plan on 6 months from the time you apply at USA jobs
I bought charles day's Black Z06 before I left Germany that is a fun car to have here also. Oh it is 99% stock it has the corsa extreme indy exhaust (or something like that) it starts to roar at 4000 rpm's.
girlfriend well that is to much drama so I took a break. There is plenty of ladies around her that would love a ride(in the Z06 that is) LOL.

Bruce, I'm in Panama City Fl. :D Airport comes online 2010 so the wife and I both will start applying that summer the yr before the grand opening. Once and IF I know we're hired then we'll both drop the retirement papers. :D :fruit: Not too worried about the pay either but at a min I'd like to clear 15 an hr but I'll take 10 if need be just to get my foot in the door.

Have fun w/ the vette! Yeah you have plenty of options over there--enjoy them all!

It is way more than that you should have no problem getting in, just apply for opening at the nearby airport so you can get tested and ready to be hired. Keep in mind you must be out when they give you the offer letter. The trick they will ask you every step if you still want the job and there is a 2 year window once fully eligable.
