How would you react if the tables were turned, that is, if Ford decided to quit building it? Over on Stangnet, they're quite disappointed, as that will mean the only competition they'll have will be imports. Of course, our cars will still be around, but they won't really have any need to increase the HP.... Personally, I would be kind of disappointed to see a fellow American icon disappear... Hopefully, GM will pull their heads out of their a$$es, and reconsider... ![]() ![]() Any thoughts or comments?? |

That topic has been brought up several times, but the fact is not only is the base GT going to continue bumping power, but SVT is reorganizing itself to be a more major player in the ford world. I'm really reaching here, but if I remember right the GT will get a 3.6 modular, and the Cobra will have a 3.6 SC. The power estimates are clearly higher, so it looks like at least one American company is willing to push on. I would be willing to bet that when the camaro re-invents itself in 2005, it wont be anything like Dodges Charger (or Challenger I forget) |

We lost Jack!!! However I think they will be back around in 2005 or so. It is all about Money SUV have a better profit margin and everybody is buying them right now. Insurance rates are killing sales these cars are dangerously fast and in the wrong hands could hurt someone. If you know what I mean. |

Wanted to keep it it could. I mean look at the vette.. It is not really a big seller..... Oh well.. It will make what we have more of a value as our cars are badass and they will not be making something to keep up..... |

Sounds good in theory, but our cars are about as good investment, as a geo metro. They will continue to drop out the sky, cuz they are just cookie cutter cars albeit powerful ones. The differance between the vette and f body was huge. They were trying to run 3 shifts for the fbody but had to stop cuz they couldnt give 'em away. The vette plant is a true niche factory and they probabally will never catch up to the demand. No matter how we want to rationalize it, it comes out the same. The Fbody was a economic nightmare that GM decided to drop. A business is in it for the money, not the nostalgia. It sucks for the enthusiast, but we are a small minority. |
