Anyone know when the pass closes? Is it based on weather? I only found one remark on-line saying it opens in May-June and closes in October.
I tried it at the end of May but it was still closed. I'll be back soon and I'm looking to try it again around 11 Oct, the weather isn't freezing yet up there, so I'm hoping to make it across.

Alright, I guess I'll play it by ear.

they usually announce if a big pass is closed on the local radiostations there. At least they did so when i went there. But surely you should be able to find something online where you can see if it is open ?

I searched all over the place. I found some web-cams, but nothing that states when it opens and closes. I'm just going to check the camera's and forecast before I leave; if it's not freezing and raining/snowing, I'm going to try it.

You might be able to check with ADAC ...

Yea, maybe ADAC will have something. I know it will be a great drive, I just hope the weather is decent.
