Well, tomorrow night I finally get a chance to tear into my tranny. Hope it goes OK, since I've never done one of these before. If anyone is bored and wants to drop by the Ramstein hobby shop, I'll be there.

6 speed?

If so, I would get 1.5" PVC pipe or something equivelant. I built a stand with it to slide the gears on as I took them out of the trans. It makes figureing out much easier when you reinstall them.

The 3-4 synchro keys were broke and had gone through the tranny. The gears are good though. I've got it almost back together. I just have to put the tailshaft housing on and then install the tranny and make sure it shifts OK. I should get to do that on Tuesday and hopefully get it back in the car. I really want to drive it some.

Glad to hear it is going OK then. Have you had any problems? I know it took me a while to align everything for close-up.

Are you going to be @ Ramstein Tuesday? I will try to stop by.
