Well, for the last couple of days, I've been actively searching for a good condition 89-93 5.0. I cant really explain why, but I want one in a bad way.

I found a really good (virgin stock) 91 GT for 4k today, and tomarrow I'm going to OKC to shop. There may very well be a nasty 92 notchback in my future.

I'm not going to switch, but I want something I can beat the $hit out of on a daily basis without abuseing the Z to much. Well, I just wanted to talk, cuz the wife wont hear none of it. Really doesnt matter, cuz I'm doing it anyway.

I'm really not interested in the "how slow they are, ugly/cheap/unreliable yada yada yada, cuz the other car can more than take care of itself if someone, anyone wants to call me out. I just want a 5ltr.

Oh well, take it easy guys, and I hope your OSL thingy works out.

Rob

You know what, I had a friend back at my last base that had both too. He had a GT 5.0 (not sure the year), and a 96 z. For some strange reason, he liked the 5.0 better. Well it got stolen and stripped, so now he has 2 f-bodies. He replaced it with a 96 taws6. Go figure.

It's an American icon, too, so I think it would be good to have both, so you could go either way in an argument. :)

As much as it pains me to say this.....

I like them too Image

I've seriously entertained the idea of picking one up as a daily driver too, but I know me...I'd end up wasting some of my mod money on it and that just cannot happen!!!

This is true, but I would NEVER give up my WS.6. So even being cheaper to mod, it still takes away from the mod bux!!!

I've already been through the "trying to mod 2 cars at once" dilemma and am not in a rush to return.

I'll stick to dumping all my bux in just 1 car :D

Well, I struck out today. The only thing I found was a auto, and I dont want that. Guess I will just put it on hold and wait for one to pop up.

I hear you on the mod money things, I plan on only doing x pipe, flows and K&N on it, but I know how that crap usually works out. Fortunately I'm pretty much done with what I want to do with the Z.

As much as I hate to say it I like them also. I had many a good fun in one in Md, and had lots of cool races against them. Maybe you'll get lucky and score a 93 cobra!
