Where's the link to the bottle of champagne your'e going to drink on the bank of the river Seine?

(ps: do the Eiffel tower before you do the Champagne, otherwise you will not be doing too well up on that swaying tower  )

congrats , i hope you like it :ok:

but don't be too dissapointed by their huge arrogance and bad / expensive food ....
and please allways ask you meat to be "well done !"
they like it raw

When you have seen all the regular stuff like the eifel tower etc etc.
if you get a change, you might want to visit the "quartier latin" area (in the 4th and 5th arrondissement) in the late afternoon early evening , it's a bit more lively and with live music nice small cafe's etc. (esp. in the summertime)

and if possible check out the père lachaise cemetery : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A8re_Lachaise
it's HUGE and allmost a small little village

Cool. Just don't assume everything is right together.....like we did. The city is very spread out. We went thinking we could walk from place to place to see the Eiffle tower and louv etc. At the train station we bought passes to almost all of the museums for like 40E. Then we literally walked all day to see the Arc De Triumph and barely made it to the Eiffle tower where there was atleast a 4 hour wait. We did spend an hour or so to figure out the subway system and used it twice. That was our day in Paris.

Oh yeah, they have a large portion of the day that all food places are closed. We had to search forever to get food. So, maybe someone can chime in with the siesta time, but I believe it is from 1400 until about 2000.

if the wait for the eifel tower is way too long, go to montparnasse tower and do the "tour de montparnasse" its just as high and you get an exceptional view of the eifel tower as it is VERY closeby the eifeltower.. But be prepared for the rudeness and unfriendly french !

Regarding the Eiffel tower..... the only way around the long waiting is to ruthlessly walk right up to the ticket cabin (as if there were no queue) and squeeze in. Like I said "Ruthless", you will never meet the waiting tourists again, so it doesn't matter anyway.
While your'e at it, please punch one of those pesky north africans in the face when he tries for the tenth time to sell you a cheap-shit little Eiffel tower/postcards/birdie whistle/wind-up bird or whatever they sell.

No, it's just irritating that the Gendarme don't prevent those "pests" from harrassing the tourists.

Here's a question though..We are taking the regional train from landstuhl to Saarbruken...there is 5 mins between us getting there and the ICE train leaving, am I gonna have to haul @$$ from one side of the station to the other, or will it be fairly close? does anyone know?

we were going to do that, but the Landstuhl station is closer to home, and the parking lot is right across from the Polizie station. I can leave my car there
