| Post subject: | Shipping a Motorcycle via HHG? |
I was wondering what was required to ship a motorcycle via HHG's? I've heard people mention getting the bike crated but does the shipping company do that or do I have to do it before they get to my place to pack it up? Also, what do I have to do to get licensed and registered in Germany? Thanks. |

i would get a crate myself for one. My buddy just shipped his over and they snapped off a part of the handle bars because he didnt get a crate. I think they have to be drained of oil and fuel....fuel for sure, not sure about the oil. You'll need the VIN number to be written on the shipping papers so you can take it ti vehicle reg the first time. As far as riding over here I am not sure on. |

Full 3/4th 1/2 I only use DOT and/or Schnell. I have a 1/2 that is DOT approved but not sure if it is authorized in Germany. |
