I found out today that I got accepted for a special duty assignment at RAF Alconbury with a RNLTD of Jan2010. Yippee!!!

I think special duty pay is $300 a month or something like that. Not sure really. Not doing it so much for the money as the fact that I love England and this is the only way I could get there.

I spent 2 years living in England...... in retrospect it certainly wasn't the best years of my life  I hope you have more fun.

My umbrella? It can't possibly rain more there than it does here! My wife knows, she grew up pretty close to Alconbury. I found out I am going to be working in a 15-20 person shop sorting all of the incoming APO mail for England. I'm getting more excited by the day!
