And boy did I have a blast. I rode with a friend of mine in his Subaru WRX (few mods). He went extremely slow the first lap (around 13 minutes) and then really picked it up and ran a low 10 min lap...which I know is still crazy slow, but it was the first time for both of us to drive or ride on the ring. I had been once before, but nobody wanted to go out on the ring. There were tons of really nice fast cars and there were some POS's running around. I now realize that if I want to take my car out there I'll definately need to upgrade my suspension to keep from flying off the track or flipping.
What are some of the suspension mods you guys have done to help you out on the ring?

I wouldn't call that "crazy slow" in yesterday's dry/wet conditions! I was there, too, and it wasn't easy to drive because of the changing track conditions. I have no idea, I'm not so into "times", it's about fun above all. I did a sub-9-minute "BTG" time 3 years ago with 245 BFG KDW tires (I have 275 KDs now) and stock springs (however I did already have the Koni shocks, the swaybars and the PHR).

I've done the following suspension mods: - Strano springs - Koni SA shocks - Strano swaybars - Panhard rod Well his first run was well before it ever started to rain...it was like around 1330 or so...before the MR2 crashed or spun out in the grass. The second lap was around 1545 or so...I remember seeing many bikes on the side of the road then...most of the guys actually laid them down or smacked the walls. How much lower do the strano springs drop your car? My car failed the inspection already on factory height springs, so if they are actually lowering springs it wouldn't a wise decision for me to buy them. I do have an adjustable panhard bar already, but I'm still on stock springs/shocks. I'll go to Strano's website and see how much this stuff will cost me and then try to figure out how much these guys around here will charge to do the install.

With the Strano springs the ground clearance measured from the plastic air dam to the ground is about 8 cm, so that's pretty low. If you don't want to go any lower, buy the shocks only. They are a huge improvement compared to the stock shocks!

Hmm...well I think that might be 1.2" too much. I'm not sure if it's too much or not. I'm doing some measurements to see what could have been below the 11 cm line.

27th is closed (for driving yourself I mean). Next weekend date would be October 4th (I will be there!).

I'll second Ben's recommendation on the Strano springs and Koni SAs. It makes an amazing difference. If you don't already have the STB and SFCs, I'd highly recommend them. It will drive like a different car. The Strano springs lowered my car about 3/4 of an inch.

Yeah I already have a STB and SFC's. My car is failing due to height issues already...and that's on factory springs/shocks. They said my exhaust sits too low, but it's the factory height...so I just paid a couple hundred euro for a custom y pipe to go under the car, maybe then I could pull it off with the car lowered....who knows.
