I am so excited right now. My long awaited, custom built HKE motor is shipping today and will be here on the 6th!!!!! :burnout:

Wow, that just means I have to get the rest of the stuff done that I planned. Oh yeah, I guess I better buy an engine stand too.

Thanks everyone. It has very slowly been progressing. It is hard to believe that it has been down for over a year. At this point I think it will be hard to hit Bitburg again. I keep telling myself that I won't, but.....we'll see. I have installed most of my Strano suspension so I HAVE to hit the ring and I definitely plan to hit the shows in the spring.

All I have to do is figure out a tune. I think I am still too nervous to do it myself...even though I have been studying it for the past year.

Then the want to do's are fill/smooth the engine bay (started), relocate/hide the wiring (started), hide the ABS module.

Congrats, bout time! Just drop the K-member and install it that way. All you need is some muscle...2-3 people to prop/hold the motor for you while you slide the K under. :D Take pics!

Well, at this point there is a little more than that. I have had a year to take things apart. All front harnesses, brackets, lines, and body panels have been removed. The front suspension is just bolted in so I can roll it around. So, the car is basically just a rolling shell :|

I have had to push it in and out of the garage to work on the mini.....which I have finally started painting in bits and pieces.

I guess I will have to get some pictures up.

Hey Trevor. I guess it was just yesterday if each day is over 8880 hours!

Thanks man. I will be afraid to start it until I figure out a tune or get the guts to tune it myself.

James, no one can beat my record. It's still ongoing right now! LOL! 6yrs out of 8yrs on stands. She's not on stands now but she ain't running either...well that's not entirely true. It's sitting at a tuners spot just sitting and getting worked on.

Wow! I didn't realize it was that long! My Mini has been down 2 and SSickneSS has been down just over a year. I have less than a year left so I gotta get going on both!

*UPDATE* UPS goofed up and the motor is still sitting in Houston :pat:

One delay after another. Now I wish I had just taken a week off of work to do this. I was supposed to get the car this week, but apparently there's a problem with the new clutch. Hopefully it's not something that requires shipping. Of course it'll start freezing soon, right after I get it back.

I sent the ECM to TSP for a desk-top tune, I'll do a dyno tune when I get back to the states.
