Anyone in K-town have a truck and trailer I could use? I'll pay for the use as well. Otherwise, I think I can rent them somewhere here. I hope to actually get the Firebird back, but the weather is horrible now.

BTW - stay away from Dany's Garage in Rodersheim.

Why is that? Is there an alternative close by? I'm just curious as I'd like to have some work done this spring but don't know where to go.

They seem to be competent as mechanics, but I've lost faith in them. It's been over 5 months for an engine swap and it looks like I'll get charged a rediculous amount of hours for this. I just don't think you can get work done there without getting robbed; I question their work ethic now.

I need to get a hold of the them tomorrow, but the engine had better be in the car by now.

If you are close to baumholder, take the drive to Zell on the mosel... my good friend Dirk Groeff works on nothing but american cars! He will even let you turn wrenches too to off set the final price. I have been going to him for about 10 years now and he is the guy i bought my Z from. Older member might remember seeing running around wioth the black 95 z28 that Silas made me really wanna dump some funds in:-) His number is 06542-960026. Also if you seen my re4cent post that linked it up to my cardomain site...you can see he is fully equipped. Diag, laser wheel alignment, paint booth, etc!!! I swear by this guy!

Thanks for the info.

The engine and nearly everything else is back in the car, with a little work on the wiring harness and radiator hoses waiting to be installed. But that little bit of work can't be finished this week. That's the kind of crap that's driving me nuts; if that's really all that's remaining, then the car should be running by Thursday.

Sorry, I cannot help unless you want to tow it with a rope.

That really took a long time. I remember when you said it could be back on the road in September last year...

Yea, I expected it months ago. They keep giving one excuse after another.

That is why I am getting as much work done as possible here in the US. Costing some coin since I am doing it all at once but I know it is better than trying to get anything done in Germany.

I swear that Europeans use gold plated tools and eat schnitzel during lunch break with golden forks, only reason I can imagine why they charge so much.

My new Cobra is getting tuned for meth injection right now. After this it won't get anymore perf mods other than wheels/brakes.

I know what you mean, but this wasn't planned. Engine died.
